The Team Behind the Project

The Public Garden Management Learning by Leading (LxL) team focuses on the maintenance and development of the 8-acre parcel known as the Arboretum Public Garden or the Arboretum Park. The Park, as we often call it, is at the heart of our program. We aim to keep this park beautiful and inviting for students’ daily use as well as special events. We thoughtfully design, install, and maintain gardens that honor the past, present, and future of UCF and the Arboretum program. Currently, we oversee 5 unique pollinator gardens that reside in the Park. Pollinators are vital to ecological biodiversity, agriculture, and natural pest control. Parks and gardens create a nature oasis in otherwise busy urban areas and are a great way to support native pollinators.

Using the Guides

Arboretum Park Map

Each of our 5 pollinator gardens in the Arboretum Park (marked on map) have been equipped with an interactive QR code sign to allow guests to easily navigate the different plants in our gardens. When arriving at a garden, please scan the QR code on the sign and explore the pictures and information about each plant within the garden on the web page! The links to each garden’s web pages can also be found below.
