Biography
Amanda graduated from UCF with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Environmental Science. During her time in undergrad she was active in student environmental groups and enjoyed learning about biology and ecology. She went on to work as a biologist within UCF’s natural resource management team where she was involved in the prescribed fire program, gained her natural resource manager certificate through NATA and arborist certification, and oversaw the management of the campus stormwater infrastructure. In 2021, the stormwater system moved under UCF’s utilities division and so did Amanda. She is now the manager of UCF’s stormwater compliance with Utilities and Engineering Services and is excited about engaging the community in awareness of the affect that we as individuals can have on places and environments downstream from us within our watershed.
