Malcolm Palmer, a sophomore work-study student at the Arboretum, is originally from South Florida and came to the University of Central Florida to earn a degree in Biology. Malcolm’s father and sister, both recreational gardeners, first sparked his interest in biology and natural lands. He hopes to also spark an interest in biology with the volunteers he leads through the Arboretum site and garden. Malcolm aspires to use the knowledge he gains working at the Arboretum to further study biology in a hands on manner as well as help on his path to medical school.
